HONEY RYDER
Honey Ryder’s back catalogue is a hybrid of music flavours ranging from rock/pop to country/folk and their live performance is punctuated with mandolin and bouzouki solos as well as electric and acoustic guitar.- they have been likened to bands/artists such as Fleetwood Mac and Sheryl Crow but their range of influences extend from James Taylor, The Eagles and Carole King to John Lee Hooker, The Beatles, U2  and Mark Knopfler.

Most recently, with the addition of Sara Eker in 2020 who as well as being Backing Vocalist, is now part of the songwriting team, their sound is full of lush female and male 4 part harmonies.

Honey Ryder began their journey in 2009 as a songwriting duo with Lindsay O’Mahony on lead vocals and Martyn Shone on guitar and they released their first album ‘Rising Up’ in 2009, achieving 2 Top 40 singles and 3 Radio 2 playlists.

For the second and third albums ‘Marley’s Chains’ and ‘Born in a Bottle’ the group evolved into a trio with Jason Huxley and Matt Bishop, again receiving several Radio 2 playlists, album of the week in Music Week and on Smooth Radio and live sessions with Wogan and Bob Harris.

The band have supported Texas, Will Young, The Levellers, The Proclaimers, Hue and Cry and Michael Bolton on UK tours taking in venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham NIA and Manchester Apollo to name but a few.

They have performed live on ITV’s This Morning, BBC’s Children in Need, Mylene Klass live on Channel 5 and on Prime time TV for BBC Northern Ireland.

They have headlined festivals in Cambrai, France, performed at South X Southwest in Austin, recorded in Nashville and Thailand and have played numerous festivals including Cornbury and the Isle of Wight.

Blood Red Moon is their fourth album and has been released via Patreon. They have had regional radio play and will be going to National Radio with their first single (TBC)

They are currently recording a 5 track EP and are ready to showcase their new material

The band have racked up millions of YouTube and Spotify streams and their social media platforms are consistently growing.
